Mutya ng Sta. Cruz 2011

Host : If you were to describe the color blue to a blind person, how would you do it?"
Contestant : That's a very good question. Keep it up.

Host : What is your edge over the other contestants?
Contestant : My edge.... 23 years old.

Host : Hey, I heard you almost didn't make it, how did you get here? Did you ride or did you walk?
Contestant : Of course, did you ride. What do you think of me, did you walk???

Above are common  bloopers derived from local beauty pageants. If you are like me, a spectacle like those are among the top reasons why you fancy beauty search. However, last night's search for the Mutya ng Sta. Cruz showcased not only beauty and confidence but also wit and intelligence. I must say that if there were any flaws during the Q&A it did not imprint on my memory.

The 10 candidates who made it to the most anticipated major highlight of the Araw ng Sta. Cruz  wowed the crowd with their creative attire, swimwear and evening gown. I have some photos taken during the event. I hope you will have a great time browsing! :)

Right: This year's Miss Phoenix, Mary Fe Manlangit of Brgy. Bato, went home with a brand-new phone, sash and bouquet courtesy of Phoenix Petroleum Phil.

Painting the town red with my killer heels :D

Red is the color of the night.. go PHOENIX! :)

CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners and to those who were not lucky enough to make it to the top 5 just remember that your value and worth as a human being will never be defined by the result of last night's pageant. And let me end this with a famous quote: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."

XoXo
