First of the 365-Page Journey

New year is always exciting! This year for me,  means taking bolder steps. The low lights of my life last year taught me a precious lesson, and that is to learn how to roll in every punch life may offer. I commit to simplify my life; let go of things that's been consuming me, and enjoy the ride with confidence and less fear of not being in control. This year means finding more reasons to make the most out of my life. Amazing moments will be built this year... with people already around and those I am yet to know.  I am wiping my slate clean for 2013, and I am ready to share new discoveries, failures, love, struggles, triumph, and wonderful memories with you.

This is it. A new year, which brings with it a sense of renewal. I hope you don't mind being along for the ride. Have a beautiful start of the year!

LIFE LATELY: Friends, Fun and the Missing F

...and I want to cross out the "missing F" and write Farty (party?), but realized it was stupid and lousy. Haha! Christmas vacation is passing by so quickly, and I am more than sad to reckon that it's only just over three days to go before class reopening.  I am enjoying my days-away-from-school the best that I could. Sure it is truly nice to have a little break from my usual routine, and just be living the merriest days of the year. I have spent the holidays wonderfully thus far and I am looking forward to a good year-ender celebration with my family and loved ones. As we speak, I am planning how to spend my Sunday. I intend to relax today and just do away with partying and meeting friends.  I'd probably read some good books later,or watch movies, or go catch a full amount of sleep. Today is just a moment for sitting back, and catching up with you loves about  how wonderful the last few days have been. Enjoy the photos!

Christmas 2012

Hi Lovies!
With parlor games, Noche buena and a lot of chitchats... that's pretty much how I spent Christmas with my family and loved ones. How did you spend yours? Was it splendid? Anyhow, I just wanted to get on here quickly to share some of the photos taken from our Christmas Eve celebration, and let you know how much I  appreciate the fact that I have so many wonderful people following my blog. I am truly blessed. Thank you lovies and may each day be a Christmas day!

Just Before Christmas Eve

Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la la la (and I had trouble counting the "la's" search me)
How are you prepping for the big celebration this eve? I am so much into the Christmas mood as we speak, and I figured I should drop by and wish my lovies a merry, wonderful, happy, fabulous, cheerful... you go ahead supply some more adjectives... CHRISTMAS!  May all the sweet magic of the holidays conspire to fill your heart with peace and profound joy. Cheers!

Out and About: Phoenix 2012 Business Partners Appreciation Night

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. celebrated a successful 2012 as the leading independent oil company with a night of gratitude, fun and celebration last December 8, 2012 at SMX Convention Center Davao. Dealers, distributors, suppliers, commercial clients, and business partners in their best Filipiniana inspired suits and gowns attended the said event. 2012 was a big year for Phoenix. This year we were more dynamic, more active, and more aggressive. (...and you are probably raising one brow, and say: what's up with the very serious note) (trip ko lang!) Despite my lousy introductory blah blah blahs, I beam of hope that you will have fun browsing the photos, which I managed to gather during the actual event.
Scanned copies of the souvenir photos
SMX Center was transformed into a seemingly elegant mansions during the Spanish era; Footmen were wearing katsa and the typical suits that you probably have read in the novel Noli Me Tangere.
I am with the best escort.
Beau is wearing a Barong Tagalog designed by Niko Oxales of KC Couture. The shade of which, perfectly fits my purse.
A wonderful view from the back. That headpiece was freaking heavy!
THE COMPANY doing what they do best: entertaining the crowd.
TMQ is blatantly displaying how much she loves the gown.
See you at the red carpet lovies!

Thank you for stopping by and accept my apologies for the minimal updates... J t'aime ya'll! ♥

The Modern Maria Clara

Flexible enough for the multifaceted  life of today's Maria Clara, and keeping up with the story of our yesteryear- this is how I would define Modern Filipiniana.
This dress symbolizes the marriage of the classic Filipiniana with the current fashion; making it possible for every empowered Filipina to enjoy a timeless piece without sacrificing comfort and style. The nostalgia of butterfly sleeves and the posh tutu creates a familiar feeling of heritage. Sophisticated yet grounded on culture. Old yet new.

Designer: Carlo Flores
Stylist: Niko Oxales
Mua: Jayson of KC Collection

P.S. Keep posted for some photos taken during the actual event. Subscribe to show love.

Christmas Sparkles 2012

Our theme for this year “Malasakit sa Bawat Isa, Salamin ng Pag-Ibig Niya” implies the deeper root of celebrating the coming of Christ as more than just a festivity. Christmas should be a reminder for all of us to pursue in providing a better life for each and everyone. We aim at depicting an everyday Christmas for every Filipinos wherein “malasakit” is deeply felt through compassionate service-giving.

PEOPLE. That is the key element of our decors. From the lighted hanging Christmas drum boys on the forecourt, to the murals, and other designed areas. Service from dedicated people is the best Christmas gift that we can offer to the public.

Merry Christmas!
