Out & About: National Convention of Lawyers 2013

The year started off briskly. I am now back to my crazy dizzy schedule after two weeks of hibernating, nonetheless I am adjusted (i think) and eager to face 2013 with full spirit. To kick off the perky academic year, I was invited together with my classmates to become a staff to the recently concluded IBP National Lawyer's Convention. It was a lot of fun meeting Justices, Judges, Lawyers, local celebrities, and media men. It actually jaunted my desire to become a lawyer someday. On a totally different note, let's talk about my outfit during that night.. shall we? I decided to wear a simple black A-line cut dress with lacy back, which I bought from Forever21 before the event started. We were told to bring a Hawaiian dress, but the coordinator changes mind at the last minute and instructed us to wear "something black" instead. Overall, I think the outfit was classy and chic and safe although it was a bit bigger for me. Saved by the shiny shimmering gold belt, it made the dress look like one and not an apron.

If holidays can cause post traumatic stress disorder then that might explain my feeling of not wanting to attend classes today. I feel flat and unmotivated instead of getting recharged by the long weekend. Do you feel the same sentiment lovies?

Law School Diaries: TRIBAL-ish

Can you tell from the photos that I changed my hair color? Well, I did and though I know it wouldn't matter to you; I still want to share anyway. I used the orange bubble etude house coloring shampoo, the one that I posted on my latest haul blog.Here is the link.

Yesterday, it started raining just when I finished putting together this "OOTD", and I was like "Oh that one made my outfit totally out of order." I want to change into something comfortable and warm but I don't have the time. It's raining almost every day at some point hence a baggy cardigan comes handy dandy. It will instantly transform your bodycon+wedge combo to somewhat rain appropriate ensemble. Oh and by the way all of the items here are from a thrifty store except for the ring which I got from Forever21. Just in case you are wondering.♥

Law School Diaries: The Morphing of a Nerd Specie

I've never encountered such a bloody exam even at the peak of my geek life. I am talking about my first statutory construction, T/F right minus wrong, examination last Wednesday. I don't know if I passed that one, I hope so. However, I am fueled to level up my efforts... no surrendering!

Oh Lord! Please make Monday a holiday. I find 24 hours too short for all the books that I have to read. If you can't grant my wish, I appeal, make me smart instead. 

This is what I'm wearing for school today. I have two major subjects to combat and I am praying fervently that the Lord Jesus Christ will send forth His holy angels and fill my brain with  knowledge from civil and criminal laws. If praying won't do me good... I might have to change my method into "intimidation" (psych definition), bring out my nerd glasses, button up my blouse... refer to the photo below

appear genius, nod constantly (as if I understand a word or two), and just pray instead that I won't be called for a recitation. I will let you know if this is effective.
