Out & About: National Convention of Lawyers 2013

The year started off briskly. I am now back to my crazy dizzy schedule after two weeks of hibernating, nonetheless I am adjusted (i think) and eager to face 2013 with full spirit. To kick off the perky academic year, I was invited together with my classmates to become a staff to the recently concluded IBP National Lawyer's Convention. It was a lot of fun meeting Justices, Judges, Lawyers, local celebrities, and media men. It actually jaunted my desire to become a lawyer someday. On a totally different note, let's talk about my outfit during that night.. shall we? I decided to wear a simple black A-line cut dress with lacy back, which I bought from Forever21 before the event started. We were told to bring a Hawaiian dress, but the coordinator changes mind at the last minute and instructed us to wear "something black" instead. Overall, I think the outfit was classy and chic and safe although it was a bit bigger for me. Saved by the shiny shimmering gold belt, it made the dress look like one and not an apron.

Law School Diaries: Going Different

You have no idea how sick I am of wearing corporate/business attires in class. School rules curtail my fashion creativity, er! Thanks to some students who defy regulations, they boost my desire to commit a little less act of rule 101 resistance.

Top: Weekender
Jeans: Hot Kiss
Necklace: Forever21
Cuff: Katiescache
Ring: Accessorize

What rules did you break lately?

This is what I'm wearing for school today. I have two major subjects to combat and I am praying fervently that the Lord Jesus Christ will send forth His holy angels and fill my brain with  knowledge from civil and criminal laws. If praying won't do me good... I might have to change my method into "intimidation" (psych definition), bring out my nerd glasses, button up my blouse... refer to the photo below
appear genius, nod constantly (as if I understand a word or two), and just pray instead that I won't be called for a recitation. I will let you know if this is effective.

Law School Diaries: Nude on Nude

In law school you are not allowed to wear bodycon skirts, slippers, sleeveless, tees and anything that falls under "informal". I will try to follow the rule as long as possible even if it would leave me nothing to utilized except for long sleeve button downs and my only pair of nicely fitted jeans. Good Lord! Give me at least a week and I will figure out how to recover from my fashion dilemma and who knows I might be able to post some fun formal outfits once again.

I had three classes yesterday and I am very proud of myself  for withstanding four loooong hours of academic endeavor. Most of the jargons used in my new field of study were new to me however, I am doing all possible things to cope up. My first week of school is about to end and I am looking forward for another week. The road is tough and long but I am going to finish this journey! AMEN!!!!

Who says law students are boring? Check this CIDG officer in his Mid 40's... he is super asting with his Spongebob pen.

Legal Research class means a lot of work and I have the feeling that this isn't even the 1/4 of it. Good thing we have a pretty professor. winking Her visual appearance motivates me to study. Haha!

TTYL I have to studying for my class tonight. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Law School Diaries: Lime On Lime

My first day of school was ahhmmm... I don't know how to describe it. LMAO!
I was hyper, excited, nervous all mixed together. I felt like...
yeah.. puking all the colors from my outfit to my serious almost morbid classmates. No, morbid is not the word... I am exaggerating. Haha! I wish I can describe the exact scene where pulling out a pink pen and a floral notebook seem to be a crime. Get it? I hope so because I have no intention to construct sentences that will further describe my feeling of unbelongingness? alienation? _______ (supply the right word) . My brain refuses to accept any further stressor... I'd rather save it for my Statutory Con class tomorrow.

See? I can't even talk decently. What about the outfit? Oh, that's my useless first day of class fashion. Haha!
TTYL when I gain back some sanity. clown

Law School Diaries: The Perfect Planner

Hi Lovies!

If you are like me who can't survive a day without a planner then finding the perfect piece might be one of your greatest goals. Planners come in different forms, sizes and shapes therefore you have to search for the perfect one that suits your method of organizing your schedule.

Well, guess what? I have found the perfect partner to simplify my life as a returning student. Today is the start of my LLB days and I am way too excited to write my first input into this lovely agenda that I got recently. If you have been following my blog for sometime, you might already have a grasp of my tastes and could have predicted that my planner has a vintage note, paris-inspired aura. I am doing my best to stay away from hello kitty stuffs recently because I am trying to project a mature image especially now that I am about to penetrate a whole new dimension of adulthood. CHAR!

My planner is so chic, isn't it? I just hope that it will really serve its purpose in keeping my  school days in order. Oh by the way, do you want to have a peek of what's in my school bag? I have a couple of cute stuffs in there... silly
