Out & About: National Convention of Lawyers 2013

The year started off briskly. I am now back to my crazy dizzy schedule after two weeks of hibernating, nonetheless I am adjusted (i think) and eager to face 2013 with full spirit. To kick off the perky academic year, I was invited together with my classmates to become a staff to the recently concluded IBP National Lawyer's Convention. It was a lot of fun meeting Justices, Judges, Lawyers, local celebrities, and media men. It actually jaunted my desire to become a lawyer someday. On a totally different note, let's talk about my outfit during that night.. shall we? I decided to wear a simple black A-line cut dress with lacy back, which I bought from Forever21 before the event started. We were told to bring a Hawaiian dress, but the coordinator changes mind at the last minute and instructed us to wear "something black" instead. Overall, I think the outfit was classy and chic and safe although it was a bit bigger for me. Saved by the shiny shimmering gold belt, it made the dress look like one and not an apron.

What I Got For Christmas

At first, I though I should refrain from showing the presents that I received last holiday season, but after careful consideration I decided to go ahead and make a post. I just wish I won't receive any comment saying "Hey, that is a braggy post.. showing us that you got a lot of things while we barely receive any piece of candy at all." NO, that isn't my intention. I didn't really wish for anything last Christmas (well, that's a lie.. I did in fact wish to have that life-sized hello kitty mascot from Sanrio world, which I know is equivalent to impossible).

 It is just wonderful to note that loved ones extend extra effort, and go spend a couple cash to buy things that could make you happy and feel special. For me, It is not the actual present that counts, but the fact that someone remembers you even during the crazy holiday rush.. and I appreciate that big time.

.. let us welcome the new year, full of things that have never been.

Thinking of a good caption, and I realized this photo combination sort of look like an "RIP to the manic driver" -esque. Haha! Seriously, I deserve a clap because after four long years, the entire family now trust my way of driving. This is actually the first time that mama and papa allowed me to drive them off the destination... CHURCH... to pray... and not to be prayed upon... if... you... get... what I uhmm... yeah. Thank you Lord that we have survived long enough to see 2013!

I have witnessed the merriest sky. It was too awesome that I almost cried. Thank you Lord that the world did not end last 2012 (screw you mayans!) 

Happy 2013 lovies! A brand new year is waiting for us to fill it with wonderful memories. 2012 has been and amazing year, and if last year was just a preview of a wonderfully done story, then I am welcoming 2013 with full anticipation and readiness.
